Oh, by the way . . .

Looks like I am finally recovering from all that nasty chemo. We'll know more in a couple of weeks, as I had a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy (just LOVE those things) this past week. My counts are beginning to head back to a more normal range. Certainly feeling better and going "like a house a-fire", as my mom used to say. Well, maybe not quiet that fast, but we sure do have a LOT of fun stuff on the calendar! Dinner parties four weekends in a row, baseball series, wine country, beaches, lunches, movies, the fun goes on and on.

Boring sewing of knits

I have been sewing lately. I made a "recycle design" shirt for a friend who works in the industry, just because. The rest of my sewing has been from items that were purchased that I liked and made patterns from. A knit dress that my youngest bought, and a favorite skirt of mine that I made for myself and adjusted for my oldest daughter. Then a little cardigan of organic gray knit. So knits have been my "thing" lately. I now need to get on with shirts for "the boys" for Christmas. My son's is done and on the way to their place, but I have three more boys here to sew for. I have the fabric, thread and buttons, now I just need the time.

This is a beautiful gray organic cotton knit. This one is for me.
This is a beautiful dark heathery gray. The fabric is wonderful. This one is for me.
This is a poly knit for my oldest for work. Not sure I will use this type fabric again.
The same organic cotton knit at the first dress.

Knits definitely don't photograph real well. They look pretty droopy.

last of the jammies

I finished up the last of the jammies for my babies. This knit is super soft and will hopefully accommodate Lulu's very finicky taste in comfort. I showed her the gown on Skype and she said she liked it and would wear it. Great. These were the only items that were from newly purchased fabric. I also bought a little pink t-shirt that matches so she can wear the pants before it gets cold.

The first one is a simple dress made for little sister. Just for daytime playtime.

jammies, jammies, jammies

I haven't been blogging, but I have been sewing.

A simple knit dress from leftovers.
A flannel night gown that I may hold for a year, as the young one who it fits doesn't wear night gowns. But I think her little sister will.
Fun jammie pants for the cowboy. I hope to make t-shirts to go with them. Fun Christmas and Peace jammies for Baby D, and Dora jammies for Baby K.
