Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to my most excellent, funny, cute, intelligent (genius according to grandkids), fun, creative, caring, loving, awesome husband in all the world!!

You're the best, can I keep you??

Grocery Cart Cover

My oldest asked for a grocery cart cover for her little foster baby. Can't blame her, as those are pretty gross when you think about it. I was always always a "back pack", baby carrier mom. I WORE my kids. Kept them from grabbing things and I could turn my back and still know where they were and what they were doing.

I attached a few ribbons that she can attach toys to, so they won't need to be picked up off the floor. Apparently this works in restaurant high chairs as well.

It's kinda big a bulky, and I am not sure how she will wrestle a baby AND get this thing in place, good luck!

More fabric.

These will be dress shirts for my most excellent son.

These are for me, although my projects always seem to be lowest on the priority list,

These are for hubby, he picks them out himself, and when he finds something I like as well, we buy extra.

Pink polka dot, I just LOVE pink polka dot.

Miscellaneous Memories

This was a fun trip with the only exception being that Baby K and daughter-in-law had to miss the day due to Baby K being under the weather.

Just thought this sign was funny.

Not being careful.

Future CEO of John Deere??? He loves to build things and JD is the ultimate TOOL!

I really thought this truck was super cool.

Enjoying the flight simulator.

Not enjoying the flight simulator.

Enjoying bubblegum ice cream . . . now that hits the spot on a hot afternoon.

Ready for the train ride.

Baby D got a little restless on the train, but he found a solution! His big brother is a trooper. He's smiling! Such a patient big brother.

My son and youngest grandson with me. Getting ready to ride a turntable.

This was a fun experience, riding on a turntable where the train cars are parked in bays for storage or servicing. All we did was make the complete circle, but for some reason I was totally enamoured.

Craft Time

During Baby D's naptime, it was time to pull out the crafts. I LOVE sitting with the children, hearing what they have to say, seeing where their imaginations take them and just enjoying their company. The girls stayed two and a half hours, my cowboy didn't have that much "sit still" in him. He's a mover.

I kept myself busy making all sorts of things then decided to make them little crowns! They were nice enough to model them for me so I could remember.

Ducky

Our little Lulu was definately the STAR of the show, front and center. She knew her routine and executed it to perfection! What a proud grandmother, and she could NOT have looked cuter in that little ducky outfit.

For 15 plus years, yearly recitals were a big part of our spring time rituals. Our youngest daughter developed some wonderful skills . . . cooperation, poise, flexibility, and teamwork, as she had fun and performed! Great confidence builder!

So PROUD of our little Lulu, and look forward to her developing into a lovely young woman with poise and confidence!

Happy Birthday

My oldest grandson just turned seven. We celebrated with little chocolate cupcakes. Just a fun moment.

Happy Birthdays

My brother, my son-in-law, my daughter-in-law and grandson all have their birthdays this weekend . . . more or less. Plus we went to another friends birthday party, which lasted most of the weekend. Such wonderful things to celebrate.

My little foster grandson, who didn't have a birthday, will look smashing with his daddy in their froggie shirts. Hubby already has one like this, and it was admired. We like the fabric so much, we bought extra! Who knew?

Father and Son

My son-in-law will have two opportunites to make sure the world knows that little man he is caring for is HIS SON! Fun to do these little outfits with left over material. That is one pricy little purple romper.

Jammie Models

I made jammies for two younger grands and was able to get some shots of the cutest little models in the world in their very fun jammies.

Finished gifts

Mother's Day, Father's Day and two birthdays, plus bonus baby wear! I finally finished all the pieces for my daughter and son-in-law. They are all very practical, nothing fancy, but certainly quality pieces that should last them quite a while.

This last little romper is for my little foster grand son. The fabric matches his mommy's shirt dress and will look great for all the Memorial Day, and July 4 celebrations. Found the little buttons and added a few for details. So fun.

Now . . . I think . . . I can sew for myself for a few weeks before I start the fall flannel jammies for my babies. I have also been asked to do a Police costume, a princess dress and Dora themed clothing. I think I can do that. Sewing for my family sure keeps me busy, happy, praying and off the streets!

Perfect Pile

of precious people. My "babies" who are most delicious, scrumptious and yummy.

Happy First Mother's Day

My oldest daughter, who is a foster mom, will get to have her very first Mother's Day this year. She focuses on all the positives about being a foster mom and accepts the fact that she does NOT have control over anything other than giving that little child the best start that she can give him. She enjoys each day, plans for the immediate future and lets the rest go. A real example to me, as I can fret and worry. What if ???. . . then I give it to God and 30 seconds later . . . what if????

I have made another dress for her to wear to work. I love this fabric, and she looks great is strong colors, red and blue being her BEST colors.

When I was getting the fabric I found these most excellent buttons! They look like they were designed to compliment the pattern on the fabric. Happy Mother's Day my little silly bean. You are the best, and I pray, if it is God's will, that you will enjoy many more Mother's Days with that very special little person.
