New floors

We are finally getting rid of the last of the carpet in the house today. Meant to be temporary when we moved in nearly 7 years ago, it's been a slow process to change things over. This is also the last room to get painted and "decorated". We will still be doing some crown molding and plantation shutters, but basically the first round is done. I imagine that the living room sofas, which are leather and 10 years old, may need to be replaced, recovered or something, as they are beginning to show wear. We use them daily. It would be interesting to see how sofas are expected to hold up over the years. I would imagine a 10 year old, daily use sofa would look a bit worn. Even when they are carefully used and maintained.

So here is the new cork floor in the master bedroom. It is also in the closet.
