OK, so when our family gets together, food is a frequent focus. We invited Miss B and Mr. L over for a PORK/BACON extravaganza one evening. They don't live near as far from our son as we thought, it was great to see them again. We have shared much of our lives living nearby one another in Norway, then in Texas, and now they are near our son! I guess God wants us to stay in touch, as that is really quite amazing if you ask me. They are terrific folks and it was so nice to spend time with them again. Should have taken pics of the dinner and them with their puppy, oh well.
This was a frequent sight during the weekend, seems the kitchen was NEVER closed. A fun place to hang out.
Miss B brought Twinkie/Bunny treats, very cute and fun for the kids.
D decided to eat his lunch in a box. He cracks me UP!
I brought my cookie recipe and we spent time baking, always a fun activity with the kids. The new recipe is great as it makes about 16 cookies. When there are six cookie eaters in the family, that isn't too bad. They did get a boat load of candy from friends and used some of it to decorate their cookies. They were really quite imaginative.
Another place the kids like to go is the Silver Diner. We did a breakfast there AND a lunch. They ALWAYS want us to take them to the Silver Diner.
