Dancing Lulu

On Friday afternoon, after the children's museum, carousel ride, lunch and a stop at the ice cream parlor, it was time for some quiet time at home. After another tea party, and some painting, Lulu wanted to watch something on TV. We tried The Pirates of Penzance, but quickly realized she was not enjoying herself. I suggested The Wizard of Oz as done by my youngest daughter's dance company back in 1989 when she was just a little tyke. Amazingly enough, Lulu was fascinated with the dancing and music. She gave a running commentary of the costumes and whether she thought each particular group of girls were "good dancers" or not. She definitely thought the fairy witch and Dorothy were "the best" and that is the part she would want to play. She would sit for a while and watch, then hop off the couch and dance along. It was fun to watch her enjoy the program and dance along. It was also fun to watch my youngest dancing over 20 years ago.

Here are some shots of Lulu enjoying expressing herself with movement! Maybe someday she will a famous ballerina.
